Interlibrary Loan

Libraries provide a service called Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This is when a library borrows materials it does not have in its collection for students. This is a useful service because libraries do not have subscriptions to every magazine and journal or purchase every book that is indexed in the various access tools. Our Interlibrary Loan system is called Illiad.

If you find a citation for an article that seems like it would be perfect for your research paper and you determine that the UCCC library does not have a subscription, fill out the electronic interlibrary loan form.

Since you are participating in a "distance education course", meaning you might never visit the UCCC campus or library, we are expanding our Interlibrary Loan service to include books that are owned by the UCCC library. This means that we will also send distance learning students books that are in the UCCC collection.

It may take up to two weeks for you to receive material UCCC does not own and one week if we do.

In some cases we are not able to find a library who can send the required material. If this happens, the Interlibrary Loan staff will contact you.
